Prayer to Saint Joseph - 4th Sunday
The Confraternity meets every fourth Sunday after both Masses to recite prayers in honor of Saint Joseph in reparation and for other special intentions.
About The Confraternity of St. Joseph
The Confraternity of Saint Joseph at Saint Anne’s Chapel is a pious association of men united under the patronage of the glorious Patriarch, Saint Joseph—Protector of the Holy Family and Patron of the Universal Church. Its members seek, through his intercession, to cultivate true Catholic charity, the love of God above all things, and the love of neighbor for God’s sake, while fostering in their homes and parish the spirit of genuine Catholic family life.
May he, who cared for the Son of God and His Blessed Mother upon earth, watch over our families and obtain for us the grace of a holy life and a happy death.
Guided by the virtues of Saint Joseph—his purity, humility, silence, and fidelity—members endeavor to sanctify their daily duties and to offer their labors to Almighty God in the spirit of faith and devotion. They look to the example of the Holy Family of Nazareth as the model of domestic holiness and peace.
The Confraternity promotes the greater glory of God and the sanctification of its members through the following practices:
- To spread devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and to St. Joseph, the Head of the Holy Family.
- To foster frequent attendance at Holy Mass, especially on the First Fridays and First Saturdays in reparation and love.
- To encourage the frequent and fervent reception of Holy Communion.
- To pray the Most Holy Rosary daily, and to promote the Family Rosary within every Catholic home.
- To perform acts of charity and mercy for the good of souls and the relief of the afflicted.
- To render faithful assistance to the parish through prayer, service, and the edifying example of a devout Catholic life.
“Ite ad Ioseph” — Go to Joseph.
May he, who cared for the Son of God and His Blessed Mother upon earth, watch over our families and obtain for us the grace of a holy life and a happy death.
